Seagate 2TB 3.5" SATA Surveillance HDD

The Seagate SkyHawk 2TB is a purpose‑built surveillance hard drive designed specifically for CCTV and network video recorder (NVR/DVR) systems. Unlike standard desktop drives, the SkyHawk series is optimised for 24/7 continuous recording , high‑write workloads, and multi‑camera environments, making it ideal for both residential and commercial security setups. With a 2 TB capacity and 64 MB cache , it provides ample space and sustained performance for storing high‑resolution video footage with efficient read/write caching to improve responsiveness during heavy recording and playback activity. SkyHawk drives are engineered to operate reliably in demanding conditions, supporting operational temperatures up to 70 °C and featuring vibration tolerance and firmware tuned for surveillance workloads. This enables stable performance when mounted in enclosed DVRs/NVRs or rack systems with several active drives. The SATA interface ensures broad compatibility with most NVR/DVR systems that support 3.5″ SATA drives. Whether you’re recording multiple cameras at HD/4K resolutions or simply need a dependable storage solution for long‑term footage retention, the Seagate SkyHawk 2TB offers purpose‑built reliability, endurance, and storage capacity tailored to security video applications.
